You know the feeling - Its Sunday you can't be bothered with cooking but everywhere you think of going will be too busy, offer poor food and service and just add to the stress you just want to lose after a busy day at work.

And now even better a true traditional Roast Beef Lunch. The best topside from Catermoles the local butchers, roasted parsnips and carrots, steamed calabrese, crisp roast poatatoes and Yorkshire Puddings so light they float off the plate!

Something for everyone!

Our main restaurant is light and airy in the summer and warm and cosy in the Winter. Our main bar is convicial, comfortable and never crowded. Our Snug is perfect if you have been for a long walk or cycle ride. Our Garden is an enclosed suntrap provided with cushions, rugs and even has a small lean-to summerhouse if you get caught out by the summer rain!

What to Eat

We are not a carvery. We are not bums on seats. Pleasing the customer is our primary concern. Our menu is the same on Sundays apart from our roast beef, as any other day of the week. However we are aware that the family nature of the day makes choosiing a place to eat is frought with difficulties.

If you have special dietary requirements or children that will only eat certain foods - let us know and we will see what we can do. For 20+ people we may even produce a bespoke menu for you.
